• Lawmakers Work to Save National Archives Facilities (rafu.com) — San Bruno's National Archives facility, home to vital immigration, tribal, and wartime records, is at risk of closure, and Rep. Kevin Mullin and dozens of lawmakers are pushing back. They've introduced a bill requiring Congress to approve any archive shutdowns and are rallying community groups to keep San Bruno's collections accessible. Local families, researchers, and tribes could lose convenient access to key historical documents if the plan proceeds. 
• Northbound Highway 101 closure in San Francisco may add to Labor Day weekend traffic woes (petalumanews.com) — Drivers in San Bruno should expect heavier traffic this Labor Day weekend as northbound Highway 101 through San Francisco's Hospital Curve closes from late Friday to early Monday. Caltrans is directing many downtown and airport-bound drivers to use I-280 and I-380 near San Bruno, so local ramps and connectors may be more congested than usual. Consider alternate routes or public transit if you're heading into the city.
