YOU are Invited: National Recovery Month Events

Join our upcoming events celebrating people in recovery from mental health and/or substance use disorders. In our community, behavioral health conditions affect many people. Drug overdoses were responsible for more than 42,000 deaths in the United States in 2016 — five times that of 1999. 6.4% of individuals 12 years and older suffer from an alcohol use disorder. These are sobering statistics, particularly when we know that it is often our most vulnerable community members who are suffering the consequences of drug use and addiction.

During the month of September, Voices of Recovery San Mateo County and the County of San Mateo Behavioral Health and Recovery Services will host several events as part of National Recovery Month.
