On Sunday, April 10, 2016, at approximately 10:50 a.m., San Bruno Police Officers responded to the 600 block of 1st Avenue regarding the report of an armed robbery and assault. Arriving San Bruno Officers learned that the suspect had approached the victim and struck him with a tire iron. The suspect took the victim’s cellular telephone and jacket.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of thirty-three year old San Bruno resident Darnell Ene. Ene was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for charges related to robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
