On Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at approximately 11:48 p.m., a San Bruno Police Officer located a subject acting suspiciously near Crystal Springs Avenue and Elm Avenue. The subject, later identified as fifty year old San Bruno resident Steven Sawyer, initially provided the officer with a false name.

Once the subject’s true identity was determined, it was quickly discovered that a warrant had been issued for his arrest for violating the terms of parole associated with an

assault with a deadly weapon conviction. Sawyer was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Sawyer was booked in to the San Mateo County Jail pursuant to the aforementioned

warrant and for charges relating to providing false information to a peace officer and the possession of methamphetamine.
