SUBJECT: Residential Burglary

CASE NUMBER: 1501370

DATE OCCURRED: May 4, 2015

TIME OCCURRED: 11:18 am.

CONTACT PERSON: Lieutenant Troy Fry

On May 4, 2015, at approximately 11:18 a.m., San Bruno Police Officers responded to the 1400 block of Niles Avenue regarding a report from an alert neighbor that had observed suspicious activity occurring at a nearby residence. Upon their arrival, officers determined that the noted activity had been related to a residential burglary that had just occurred. A perimeter was set up in the area and following a foot pursuit, 21-year-old Kao Saeteurn and 20-year-old Ken Tran, both Oakland residents, were taken into custody.

An additional San Bruno Police Officer who had been responding to the scene located a related vehicle leaving the area. The vehicle’s occupant, 26-year-old Oakland resident Jamy Xaysana, was also taken into custody.

The San Bruno Police Department encourages all residents to remain vigilant, and immediately report suspicious persons or vehicles in their neighborhoods. Most residential burglars select a target where they believe no one is home. Alert neighbors provide the biggest help to police in solving these crimes. Please immediately report any suspicious activity to the Police Department by calling 9-1-1.
