On Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at approximately 9:15 p.m., San Bruno Police Officers responded to the 700 Block of Mills Avenue regarding the report of a disturbance. Officers soon learned that a subject, later identified as forty-one year old San Bruno resident Jorge Beltran, had been armed with a large machete while involved in an altercation with a female subject. Beltran was ultimately located hiding in a garage.

Beltran was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for charges related to domestic violence, child abuse, criminal threats, brandishing a weapon, and resisting arrest.

The San Bruno Police Department is still investigating this case. Anyone with any information pertaining to this investigation is urged to contact the San Bruno Police Department at (650) 616-7100 or sbpdtipline@sanbruno.ca.gov. Information regarding this case can be left anonymously.
