Skyline College Former Men's Basketball Players Moving Up In The Fire Department Ranks

Shawn Echols and Mario Flaherty, both out of Mills High School, continue to achieve success in their respective departments. Shawn recently passed his Driver/Engineer Promotional Exam, scoring in the top 3%. Shawn is part of the Dallas Fire Department.

Mario recently completed his probationary period in the San Francisco Fire Department, after graduating from the academy last year. Both young men received Division I scholarships after their two years at Skyline and earned Bachelor’s degrees before starting their careers as firefighters.
