SWA 68th Annual Show through August 5, 2018

The judges for the Society of Western Artists 68th Annual Show were accomplished artists Gerald Boyd, Ed Lucey and Claire Verbiest. The gallery at 527 San Mateo Ave., San Bruno will be open Wednesday through

Saturday from daily 11:00-3:00, June 6-August 5.

Two receptions to meet the artists will be on Saturday, June 23 from 1:00-3:00 and August 5 from 1:30-3:00.

The oil awards went to Tomiko Bailey for her first place “Crab and Wine”, ABOVE

to Shirley Green for her second place “By the Light of the Moon”,

and to Ron Jarvi for his third place “Leader of the Pack.”

The Best of Show was a mixed media painting called “Late Night Presentation” by Dmitry Grudsky. ABOVE

Honorable mention was awarded to Laurie Rodriguez’s oil “Innocence Broken”

The watercolor awards went to Guy Magallanes for his first place “Patos Feo”, ABOVE

to Joyce Barron Leopardo for her second place “My Favorite Chair”, and to

Diana Day Glynn for her third place “The Strangler.”

Honorable mention was awarded to Stephanie Getzler for her “Dahlia Delight”

Pastel/Mixed Media awards went to Sharon Slusarz Harris SWA for “Sara Turns 100”

and

second place went to Deepali Kapatkar for her “Attitude.”

First place for non-representational went to Jane Hofstetter for her “Cross Currents.”

Participants: Tony Pepito, Evelyn Nitzberg, Carrie Drilling, Fran Simontacchi, Louis Maraviglia, Leona Moriarty , Trowzers Akimbo, Dean Dallin, Marilyn Downes-Bennett, Stephanie Getzler, Akiyo Walker, Henri,
