On Friday, September 29, 2017 at 1:41 P.M. San Bruno Police Officers discovered a vehicle that was parked in the Tanforan Mall parking lot that had been reported stolen. Officers were able to identify two subjects who had exited the stolen vehicle and entered the mall. Officers observed the subjects within the mall and learned that they were attempting to use fraudulent credit card information to obtain merchandise, but were unsuccessful. The subjects returned to the stolen vehicle and were contacted by police as they entered the vehicle.
An investigation regarding the vehicle and property found in possession of the two individuals led to their arrest for charges relating to the following:
- Possession of a stolen vehicle
- Burglary
- Identity theft
- Use of fraudulent credit card information
- Conspiracy
The two suspects, thirty-seven year old Fairfield resident Marcus Booker, and thirty-seven year old Oakland resident Edward Walker were arrested and booked at the San Mateo county Jail.
