Suspect, 18 Sought After Burglary, Hit-And-Run In South SF
A 19-year-old accomplice was arrested, police said.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA - An 18-year-old man remained at large Monday after burglarizing a South San Francisco home and then colliding with a minivan while trying to flee from police on Sunday, police said.
Police arrested a second suspect, 19-year-old San Francisco resident Terrell Scott, following the burglary reported at 9:42 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Eucalyptus Avenue. Officers responded and found Scott and the 18-year-old fleeing from the home. Scott was taken into custody while the other suspect was able to escape.
The residents were not home at the time of the burglary, according to police. The suspects’ vehicle was located nearby and officers conducted surveillance on it until about 12:45 p.m. when the 18-year-old returned to it, police said. Officers tried to stop the suspect, who got into the vehicle and fled.

A few blocks away, the suspect ran a red light and struck a minivan in the intersection of Grand and Orange avenues, then fled on foot again and was able to elude arrest, police said.
The minivan’s driver, a 50-year-old San Francisco resident, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, according to police.

The 18-year-old, a San Francisco resident whose name is not yet being released, is wanted for residential burglary, resisting and evading police, felony reckless driving and reckless evading, and hit-and-run causing injuries, police said.
Scott was booked into San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of residential burglary, felony conspiracy and committing a felony while out on bail, according to police.
