On Wednesday, July 18, 2018 Suspect #1 in the below case, Carlos Manuel Cienfuegos, was placed under arrest pursuant to a $10,000,000 warrant that had been issued in relation to an attempted murder, assault with a semiautomatic firearm and the negligent discharge of a firearm. Suspect #2, Richard Raymond Butler, is still at large.

On Wednesday, June 27, at 12:31 a.m., the San Bruno Police Department received an emergency call from someone reporting that they had just been shot at on the 300 block of Chapman Avenue in San Bruno. The victim reported that during an argument, the suspect presented a handgun and fired a single round at the victim. The victim was not struck and nobody was injured as a result of this incident.

San Bruno Police Officers secured a perimeter around a residence where the suspect(s) were believed to be, and conducted surveillance while a search warrant was obtained. The search of the residence did result in the seizure of eight firearms, including an illegal assault rifle and a stolen handgun.
