The San Mateo County Police Chiefs and Sheriff Association are working together to collectively focus on reducing the number of injuries and traffic accidents throughout San Mateo County. San Bruno and Millbrae residents may notice that there are police officers from throughout San Mateo County enforcing vehicle code violations.
According to San Bruno Police Chief Ed Barberini, “In 2013, San Bruno ranked 5th out of 92 cities of similar size with respect to traffic collisions, and 27th out of those same 92 cities with respect to injury traffic collisions. As such, improving traffic safety in San Bruno remains a top priority of the Police Department.”
This is the first deployment in a number of planned multi-agency saturation deployments scheduled to be performed throughout San Mateo County in 2016. The San Mateo County Police Chiefs and Sheriff Association have all committed to this important safety initiative.
