A word from Rosemary Mayer Hintz, former Chair of CORA's Board.
Dear CORA family and friends,
Find out what's happening in San Brunofor free with the latest updates from Patch.
I’m very excited to share that Jennifer Kong was recently elected as chair of the board of directors of CORA. Jennifer has served on the board for over four years and brings passion and experience to her new leadership role. Over the last year and a half, Jennifer launched the organization’s strategic planning process and recruited valuable board members. In her professional life, Jennifer is a senior program manager at Blue Shield of California Foundation where she focuses on ending domestic violence. She brings extensive philanthropy and nonprofit experience, including working directly with survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence.
In addition to congratulating Jennifer, I want to take the opportunity to share more about what is happening at CORA. As many of you read in a previous email, we are progressing nicely towards hiring our next executive director. Our board’s ED Search Committee has been working closely with Painter Executive Search to identify and interview candidates. The committee has dedicated a tremendous amount of time and energy into assuring our search process is thoughtful, inclusive, and reflective of CORA’s values. We will continue to share updates with you in the coming weeks as we progress toward welcoming a new executive director.

Our staff continues to provide critical services and raise awareness about intimate partner abuse. Last year our senior leadership team participated in a strategic planning process to assure we provide the most effective interventions to our clients. The staff has been making exciting strides in the strategic plan, including doing a deep dive into our housing and legal services, looking for opportunities for more impact.
Finally, I want to take a moment to acknowledge my tenure on the board is coming to an end. I have been honored to lead the board over the last two years and serve on the board for a total of six years. I am so proud to be a part of an organization that helps survivors of relationship abuse find safety and healing. CORA changes the trajectory of tens of thousands of lives. Survivors and their children can find peace and hope in the compassionate care of our counselors, attorneys, and support staff.
Thank you for your ongoing support of CORA. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach me at rosemarymayer1@yahoo.com or Jennifer at jenniferfkong@gmail.com.
Kindly,
Rosemary Mayer Hintz
