Orange County Lawn Watering Restrictions

If you live in Orange County and you're not quite sure when you're allowed to water your lawn here's the breakdown

Just like most places in California, Orange County has new lawn watering restrictions to help save water during this historically bad drought. It’s very important that you follow these rules because if you don’t there will be consequences! If you live in Orange County and you’re not quite sure when you’re allowed to water your lawn here’s the breakdown:
Orange County Watering Restrictions

From March 8, 2015 to November 1, 2015, residents of Orange County are prohibited from watering their lawn anymore than two days a week.

  • If you are an odd-numbered household, you are to water your lawn on Wednesday and Saturday.
  • If you are an even-numbed household, you are to waterer lawn on Thursday and Sunday.

From November 2, 2015 to March 7, 2016, residents of Orange County are prohibited from watering their lawn anymore than one day a week.

  • If you are an odd-numbered household, you are to water your lawn on Saturday.
  • If you an even-numbered household, you are to water your lawn on Sunday.

Do not water more than an hour at a time and only water between the hours of 10:00am & 4:00pm

Consequences for Violating Watering Restrictions
1BL1BBOGE9-1024x769.jpg First time violators will receive a warning notice and any violation after that may receive a fine of $25 per violation.
***If you have recently installed sod, you are allowed to water your lawn any day at any time for the first 30 days after installation and every other day after the 30 day period.
