Tuesday Surf Report

More rippable surf!

Good Tuesday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your San Clemente Patch surf report.

Well, if you've got a little time to spare in between appointments, then go grab a couple.  Yep, we're seeing more playful size waves up and down the coast.

The conditions are nice and glassy, with a combination of mostly west northwest swell and a touch of that lingering south southwest energy in the water.

That's giving us some kinda crumbly broken-up lines, with lots of rippable shoulders.  Watch for things to start off a bit slow due to that early morning high tide.  Most San Clemente spots are running about knee- to stomach-high, with the standout spots pulling chest-high waves, with maybe an occasional plus set.

Taking a look at those tides: At 7:27 this morning it pushes up to 6.5 high which will have some spots pretty swamped mid morning.  So, if you can, wait for that tide to turn around as it eventually drains out to a negative 1.3 low at 2:42 this afternoon.

If you're planning on paddling, a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties will do the job, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 58 degrees.  See ya in the water!
