Big Games For St. Leander's Teams

This was an incredible season for our Middle School Girls Volleyball.

Last Sunday our 6th, 7th and 8th grade teams played in the Metro League Championships and all three won First Place. That qualified them for the coming Diocese Playoffs.

The victories were even better because the games were won at home, where parents, friends and fellow players cheered excitedly in support of all our teams.

The three winning teams will play this weekend at the Diocese Playoffs.

Congratulations to the 6th grade players: Bernice Angeles, Kayla Danao, Maya Daluz, Chanelle Bautista, Sydney Mendoza-Beck, Amaya Finley, Elayne Meadows, Ileana McDonald, Selina Esaias, and Kelechi Agwumezie.

Congratulations to the 7th grade players: Kaylynn Lum, Natalie Alldridge, Kobi Allston, Gina Bonardi, Mica Cabrera, Sofia Garcia, Nyla Jamison, Mai Santiago, Rachael Timm, and Alisa Snow.

Congratulations to the 8th grade players: Alexia Aranda, Angelica Cabato, Anjelica Templeton, Ashleen Calhan, Imani Williams, Kierra Harrell, Lauren Halloran, Nicole Nazareth, and Nina Daluz.

Boys basketball teams also advance

Our boys basketball teams are going to the league's playoff.

The first game will be for the 8th graders this Friday against Our Lady of Grace at 7:45 p.m.

Congratulations to the 4th grade team. They will play Saturday at 9:00 a.m. against St. John.

The 7th grade will play this Saturday as well against a team to be determined.

All games will be played at St. Bede.
