Camellias Bloom Ahead Of The Storm: Photos Of The Day

Well watered by previous rain, San Leandro camellia bushes have started blooming.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Camellias are a wonderful Bay Area treat for gardeners, blooming in the dead of winter, turning off their blossoms when the weather warms in the spring. Miyo Burnett shared these photos of two varieties of camellia, along with a photo taken last week on the Bay Bridge.
