Creek Cleanup Needs Volunteers Next 2 Saturdays
San Leandro Creek is overgrown by non-native plants, crowding out native species and ruining the habitat for critters.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — San Leandro Creek is so overgrown with invasive plants at Chabot Park that you can barely see it. The problem is that non-native blackberries and ivy are crowding out native plants.
Friends of San Leandro Creek have scheduled two work days - this Saturday and next - to remove invasive plants.
Work Day 1: Saturday, May 12, 10:00 AM-3:00PM. We will be removing invasive plants.

Volunteers can work one or both days. Meet at Chabot Park in San Leandro, below the playground.
