Early Voting Underway In San Leandro Special Election
Voters are deciding whether to renew a property tax for San Leandro Unified School District.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Early voting began Monday at the Registrar of Voters’ office in a San Leandro Unified School District Special Election. Voters are deciding whether or not to renew an existing property tax. The ballot measure reads:
Maintaining Quality Schools for San Leandro. To attract and retain highly qualified teachers, and to continue programs to improve core education in our local schools, particularly in math, science, technology and the arts, support manageable class sizes, and school libraries, shall the San Leandro Unified School District renew its existing parcel tax for 14 years at a rate of $78 per year, with an exemption for seniors, independent fiscal oversight, no money for administration,and all money benefiting San Leandro students?

- Early Voting - Early Voting in the Registrar of Voters’ office began on July 31, 2017, from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Mail-in Voting - All ballots must be returned to the Registrar of Voters’ office no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day, August 29, 2017. Ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and must be received in our office by September 1, 2017. The address is 1225 Fallon Street, Rm. G-1, Oakland, CA 94612.
- Election Day Voting - An accessible touchscreen/audio voting machine will be provided to assist voters with visual, auditory or motor skill limitations at the San Leandro City Hall Lobby located at 835 E. 14th Street, San Leandro, CA, 94577, on August 29, 2017, from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
