A funny drama in which George and Doris meet at a Northern California Inn in 1951, and then return each year over a 24-year period. They develop an emotional intimacy deeper than one would expect between two people meeting only once a year for a clandestine relationship as they discuss all the things affecting their lives and the world around them.
