Free Food & Groceries Offered At Friday Drive-Thru In San Leandro

The effort is organized by Dig Deep Farms & the Alameda County Deputy Sheriffs' Activities League.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Community members in need of free food, groceries, produce or dairy products are invited to visit Friday's Dig Deep Farms Food Drive, a drive-thru giveaway, in San Leandro.

The event runs 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 2700 Fairmont Drive in San Leandro, with contact-less loading of items into patrons' car trunks, organizers said.

Founded in 2010 by Ashland and Cherryland residents, the non-profit Dig Deep Farms operates farming areas and partners with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office and Deputy Sheriffs’ Activities League to improve health and well-being in the Eden Area with jobs and fresh, locally grown food.
