I was recruited by international cultural exchange company, American Discovery, to offer the opportunity to residents in San Leandro, Hayward and Castro Valley.
But only four families have come forward to host 12 French students who are set to arrive on August 2.
The students are coming here to improve their English and to broaden their horizons by getting to know Americans and seeing in person the California they've been dazzled by on TV and in films

Their home stay period is less than two weeks, and food and some transportation are the only costs.
A couple of San Leandro High School French students' families have signed up.
But we need more volunteers.
If sufficient families don't volunteer, the French students will be forced to cancel the trip.
Listed below are the following profiles of the French students still in need of a host family. If interested in hosting one of them, please contact me at 510-300-7022 or jonathan@AmericanDiscovery.net. For more information about hosting, visit www.americandiscovery.net/hosting.html.
