Help Community Kids Succeed!

You can help homeless children strive for a successful school year by donating to Building Futures’ annual Back to School Drive. From June 25th to August 10th, we’re collecting school supplies for children in our emergency shelters, safe house, and served by our housing assistance programs, domestic violence outreach and intervention programs.

School supplies are needed for students of all ages, with an emphasis on backpacks and lunch boxes. Your generosity will support the children of our community, and equip them with the proper resources for a prepared and positive start this school year.

Collection bins are located at the San Leandro Main Library (300 Estudillo Ave.), Zocalo Coffeehouse (645 Bancroft Ave.), San Leandro Senior Community Center (13909 E. 14th St.), Floresta Dental (579 Floresta Blvd.), Manor Branch Library (1241 Manor Blvd.), Church of Christ (601 MacArthur Blvd.), and Marina Community Center (15301 Wicks Blvd.). School supplies can also be taken directly to Building Futures’ administrative office, located at 1395 Bancroft Avenue, open regularly from 9am-5pm on weekdays.
