I-880 Big Rig Jackknife Has Traffic At A Standstill

OAKLAND, CA — A truck driver was seriously injured this morning when his big rig jackknifed on northbound I-880 in Oakland. He was unresponsive immediately following the crash. The crash happened around 4:30.

At one point, all lanes were closed. Most are now reopened, but the damage has been done to the morning commute.

Traffic is practically at a standstill from 5th Avenue all the way past 98th.

If possible, use an alternate route. If you're going into San Francisco, use the San Mateo Bridge.
