Man Murdered In Hayward Monday

HAYWARD, CAA man was fatally shot in Hayward on Monday morning after he got into an altercation with another man and a woman, police said.

Police said the shooting occurred in the 29000 block of Mission Boulevard, near the All Suites Islander Motel and Infinitude Auto Sales, sometime Monday morning but didn't release the exact time.

Police also didn't say if the man died at the scene or at a hospital.

Police said they aren't releasing the victim's name until his family is notified.

Police said they don't know the names of the suspects but described them as a black man in his 20s who's about 5 foot 6 inches tall and 135 pounds with dark faded hair and an Asian woman in her 20s who's about 5
foot 4 inches tall and 125 pounds with dark shoulder-length hair.

The homicide was the fifth in Hayward so far this year.Hayward police said anyone with information about the fatal shooting should call Detective Robert Purnell at (510) 293-7074.
