Pedestrian Killed By Train Monday Identified
The victim was struck on tracks near Davis Street and Orchard Avenue.

SAN LEANDRO, CA - A man who was struck and killed by a Capitol Corridor train in San Leandro on Monday morning was identified by the Alameda County coroner today as 46-year-old Michael Brock.
Brock apparently didn't have a permanent address but he had family members in Dublin, a coroner's spokesman said.
Amtrak spokesman Vernae Graham said Brock was struck on tracks near Davis Street and Orchard Avenue at about 10 a.m. Monday by a train that was traveling from San Jose to Sacramento.

San Leandro police said the incident prompted the temporary closure of Davis Street between Alvarado Street and Orchard Avenue.
The train resumed service at 12:24 p.m. on Monday, Graham said.

There were no injuries to the 54 passengers who were on the train, Graham said.
