San Leandro Expanding Free Public Wi-Fi

New locations include public parks, libraries and downtown areas.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — San Leandro's free public Wi-Fi network will expand to include the Manor and South Branch Libraries, the Joaquin Plaza and Washington Plaza downtown, and the following City Parks: Memorial, Siempre Verde, Halcyon, Toyon, Floresta, Stenzel, and the San Leandro Marina.

Over the past three years, the City has deployed public Wi-Fi in the downtown core, all city facilities including the Senior and Marina Community Centers, the Casa Peralta and San Leandro History Museum, as well as the area around the annual Cherry Festival grounds.

The City Council unanimously approved the expansion last month. Expanding public Wi-Fi aligns with City Council goals to promote civic pride and quality of life, enhance infrastructure, and transform San Leandro into a Center for Innovation.
