The San Leandro High girls track team captured the North Coast Section Meet of Champions crown on Saturday.
The Pirates squad tallied 56 points to finish ahead of Newark Memorial High, which garnered 40 points.
Gabriella Cantrell led the way for San Leandro by winning the 100 and 200.
Nijae Jones was victorious in the 800 and joined Cantrell, Camille Watson and Kortni Smyers-Jones on the winning 400 relay team.

The meet was held at Edwards Stadium at U.C. Berkeley.
The top three finishers in each event qualified for the state championships next weekend.
