San Leandro Police Seek Missing Teen

Breaking: Have you seen this girl? The 15-year-old vanished Saturday night.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — The San Leandro Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing teenager, who was last seen at her home on Saturday night.

On Saturday night at about 9 p.m., 15 year old Deanna Benedetto’s mother discovered that Deanna was missing from their San Leandro home. This is abnormal behavior for Deanna. Her mother believes that she left voluntarily with a friend or acquaintance.

Deanna has reportedly been using various internet websites lately as a means of communication with others. Deanna does not have a cell phone, so her mother has been unable to try and contact her since she’s been gone.

Police investigators have been speaking with Deanna’s friends and school staff and are now asking for the public’s assistance to find Deanna and bring her home safely.

“I can’t imagine what it would be like to be a parent of a missing teenager. This is why it is critical that the public assist us in locating her,” stated Lt. Robert McManus. “If anyone has any information, please do not hesitate to contact us immediately. Your information may be our missing link that will help bring her home,” he said.

Deanna is further described as a female, approximately 5’05” tall, weighing 200 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black, white and gray stripped jacket, with gray pants that had a logo of a cat on one leg.

Please look at the photos of Deanna and contact the San Leandro Police Department at (510) 577-2740, or your local police agency, if you have any information as to Deanna Benedetto’s whereabouts.
