Artistic Tribute to Marvin Gaye in San Leandro

This week is your last chance get tickets for the Legacy Series Saluting the Artistry of Marvin Gaye.

Bay Area vocalists, musicians and spoken word artists will come together to pay tribute to the entertainer on March 30.

Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show runs from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the in San Leandro.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc.'s March of Dimes March for Babies Project.

There will be live performances by Ric Alexander, Byrd Duckett, Magenta Jazz, Semoine Nicole, Sanara Pippins, Trakk Roberts and David Royal.

The venue is located at 770 E. 14th St. in downtown San Leandro.

The event is being organized by Oakland vocalist, songwriter, and producer Tamika Nicole.
