2 On Genentech’s South SF Campus Test For Coronavirus: Report

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Genentech Inc. on Wednesday acknowledged that two people who were on its Peninsula campus have tested positive for the coronavirus, the San Francisco Business Times reports.
The two people who tested for the virus were on the campus on March 2, according to the report.
Genentech declined say whether the two people were company employees, but said “as small number” of employees who may have had “close contact” with the infected persons were asked to work at home for 14 days.

"As a member of the Bay Area community, and one of the region's largest employers, Genentech takes very seriously the health and safety of our employees, their families and our local communities — especially at this time of high concern for public health," Genentech spokeswoman Amanda Fallon said in an email to the San Francisco Business Times.
