2016 Countywide Youth Conference

The San Mateo County Youth Commission invites you to the 2016 San Mateo County Youth Conference: Change Starts with Us! on Saturday, March 19th 10-4pm at the College of San Mateo. Registration is free and it is open to all youth and advocates of youth voice and leadership!

Attendees are encouraged to pre-register to ensure breakfast and lunch. There will be an inspiring Keynote Speaker, Tiffany Zhong; named one of Time’s Most Inspirational Youth of 2015, a performance by Pretty Shanks, a local high school rock alternative band, and amazing youth led-workshops! Workshops range from how to start your own non-profit, the role of art and music in social movements, to suicide prevention films and conversations about key issues youth care about.

Attendees will also get to hear from elected leaders and policymakers and learn about various community resources. The conference will be tweeted-live for youth to post comments, photos, ask questions through-out and ensure active engagement! #changestartswithme

All attendees will receive free giveaways, participate in raffles and best of all get inspired to create positive change in their communities!
