Christmas Carol Family Reunion

After 30-year run, Christmas Carol performances at NDNU were cancelled for this year but past cast, crew & volunteers have still been busy!

Belmont, CA—On Saturday December 10, 2016, cast, crew and volunteers from the 30-year run of "The Gift" gathered for a reunion. It was a joyous affair attended by more than 300 people and held at the Notre Dame de Namur University Theatre where performances of A Christmas Carol, and before that Scrooge, were given as a gift to the community every December from 1985-2015.

Between appetizers and a holiday feast, 2-hours worth of past performance clips were shown on the big screen. Viewers reminisced with laughter and tears. Friendships were renewed as were commitments to community involvement and charity. As is tradition, donated toys were collected for distribution to locals in need.

Momentum for future performances grew throughout the evening. Show producers are actively exploring the possibility of returning to the NDNU Theatre or other nearby theater next year. It is hoped that discussions with the University will begin soon. This year’s performances were cancelled due to changes at the University.
