Deadly Crash Reported On San Mateo Bridge
Traffic is slowed on the San Mateo - Hayward Bridge as a result of the deadly wreck.
FOSTER CITY, CA — One person is dead in a crash on the San Mateo - Hayward Bridge this morning, the California Highway Patrol reports. The incident happened on the westbound side of SR-92 near the Foster City Boulevard offramp.
Details surrounding the wreck are limited at this time, but an "unresponsive male driver" was found around 8:21 a.m., in a vehicle that was blocking the number three lane, according to preliminary CHP logs.
Traffic reports showed that westbound traffic on the bridge was at a crawl as of 10:25 a.m.
