2011 Congressional Art Competition: Artistic Discovery

2011 Congressional Art Competition: An Artistic Discovery! Open to students in grades 9-12 in the 12th District. Submit one piece of original artwork to district office.
The Congressional Art Competition showcases  America’s young artists. The winner of the competition will have his or her artwork displayed in U.S. Capitol in Washington DC for one year and receive airline tickets for themselves and one adult to the Awards Ceremony and Reception in Washington DC. The second and third place pieces will be displayed in the district office for one year.
Review the 2011 Guidelines and deliver your artwork in person or by mail to Barbra Braganza in the district office at 400 S. El Camino Real, suite 750, San Mateo, CA 94402 from Monday, April 25 through Wednesday, April 27 between 8:30 am and 6 pm. Submit the labeled artwork with a completed student information & release form. 
On Thursday, April 28 from 6-7:30 pm the Congresswoman will host all of the contestants, art teachers, families and friends at the district office and will display all of the submitted artwork. Please RSVP for that evening by 6 pm on Friday, April 22 by calling the district office at 650-342-0300 or e-mailing Barbra.Braganza@mail.house.gov. Please include the name of the artist you are joining, the number of people in your group and your contact information.
