At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Define terms, identities, and concepts associated with
    LGBT communities.
  • Utilize culturally appropriate language and behavior for addressing and
    working with LGBT populations.
  • Describe the myriad socioeconomic, health, and legal issues that LGBT people
    face.
  • Develop culturally appropriate systems and service approaches for working
    with LGBT individuals and families.
  • Identify steps your organization can take to improve services for LGBT
    populations.
