The Center for Independence of Individuals with Disabilities (CID) is hosting a New Freedoms Forum for youth with disabilities ages 14-25 and family members. Join us for:
- Assistive Technology demonstrations from the CID
- learn about the iPad and iPod Loan Program and other services provided by the Center for Accessible Technology
- Check out demonstrations of the RotoChair and the RotoTrike- a new kind of manual chair! www.rotomobility.com
- Presentations from organizations that provide independent living services such as travel training with SamTrans, recreation services through Bay Area Outreach and Recreation Programs and service or support dogs by Canine Companions for Independence
- The first 50 young people to attend will receive free money management software courtesy of Wells Fargo
- Opportunities to talk with service providers, employment center representatives and government agencies
- Express your pride in yourself and community! Participate in the Community Pride Quilt Project. Approximately 100 people with disabilities and allies from the Bay Area have contributed to the making of this quilt.
