Spring Performance - Professional Ballet School & Young Artists Ballet Theatre

Event Details:  Please join us for Professional Ballet School's 24th annual Spring performance, June 10th and 11th at the San Mateo Performing Arts Center!  The performance will open with Favorite Children's Rhymes featuring favorites including Mary Mary Quite Contrary, Jack Be Nimble, Old Woman in a Shoe, with dancers from Pre Ballet and Levels 1-6.  A showcase variety of Contemporary, Jazz, and Classical Ballet Pieces follows; including, Tanya Bello's "Architect Of The Mind" - a Contemporary piece; and, "Quarks", a neoclassical piece by Brete Martin.  Also, "Kingdom of the Shades"  - an excerpt from La bayadere, the famous classical ballet by Petipas featuring advanced dancers Jennifer Stewart from Carlmont High School, Olivia Lindorfer from Notre Dame Belmont, Grace Collery from Sequoia High School.   The final act features Zoltan Peter's "Legacy" a dramatic neoclassical work set to the electronic soundtrack of Tron Legacy, by Daft Punk.  Tickets are available online at:  pbs2011.eventbrite.com and at Professional Ballet School, or in person at the box office on the evenings of the performances.
