Fire Hydrant Sheared In San Mateo Hit-And-Run: Police
BREAKING: Police say they are looking for a large truck – possibly a dump truck or a big-rig.

SAN MATEO, CA – San Mateo police were searching Thursday for the driver responsible for slamming into a local fire hydrant and fleeing the scene. The wet mess was reportedly causing traffic delays and water disruption for people in the area.
The crash was reported around 10:50 a.m. in the first block of North San Mateo Drive, according to Sgt. Amanda Von Glahn.
Multiple witnesses described the suspect vehicle as some type of large truck, possibly a dump truck or a big-rig, and officers are still looking for it.

Von Glahn said California Water Service (Cal Water) was sent to the scene of the crash, to turn off the fire hydrant.
Due to the damaged fire hydrant H20 output for residents may be effected by ECR & Baldwin. @calwaterservice is on scene to resolve the issue
