Police allege that the woman tried to end the relationship on Wednesday and Gongorachavez hit her in the head with his hat, which caused her lasting pain for more than a day.

One Thursday, Gongorachavez allegedly told the woman to drive him to a location but got upset along the way and broke her stereo. When they returned home, the suspect allegedly took her cellphone, threw her onto the bed, pinned her down and yelled at her. Gongorachavez then allegedly fled the house with her phone and when he returned, he smashed and broke it.
