NEW Pathways to Enterprise is dedicated to empowering women and their families through innovative livelihood opportunities. Through the Learning to Livelihood IdeaShop series, coupled with business start-up support, the program serves as an incubator of new businesses for and by women. Direct beneficiaries are economically disadvantaged women living on less than $2.00 per day, with the majority classified as the extreme poor, living on less than $1.25.

Women are guided through the entrepreneurial process from business idea generation through business start-up. The program inspires women to explore, evaluate, and select business alternatives that offer profitable returns and opportunities for creativity and increased self-esteem.

Arman Pedro, global student in the Meadville Lombard Theological School, has served as local leader of the New Pathways to Enterprise program in Valladolid, Negros Island, since 2012. He is passionate about New Pathways and its commitment to empower women and their families.
