Agricultural Representative Sought For Marin County Committee
Expenditures on farmland preservation are among the duties of the Marin County Parks Measure A Community Oversight Committee.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – A seat is open on the Marin County Parks Measure A Community Oversight Committee.
The committee reviews expenditures of the Marin Parks, Open Space and Farmland Preservation Transactions and Use Tax Ordinance, also known as Measure A funds, on an annual basis to ensure they conform with the expenditure plan. The committee also oversees an annual audit and prepares an annual report describing how funds were spent.
Committee members must be Marin County residents who are neither elected officials of any government body nor employees from agencies or organizations that either oversee or benefit from the tax receipts of Measure A.

The volunteer should be knowledgeable about agricultural conservation easements as a method of farmland preservation. The application deadline is 5 p.m. Jan. 11, 2019.
