A couple of days ago, as I parked my car at the Ponds, a tiny bird
landed on my windshield-wiper and started jumping around and flapping its wings.
I whipped out my iPhone and took a couple of pix. Then I stepped out of the car,
got my Nikon out of the trunk and took a few more pix. My chief ornithology
adviser, J.B., informs me that we are in the mating season, and the little guy
took the reflection on my windshield for another male, which he tried to
chase away.
