Yesterday there were over 300 Elephant Seals at Chimney Rock.
According to PRO TRAILS, Elephant Seals returned there in the early 1970's after
an absence of 150 years. (I wonder how they know this?) Now look closely at my
picture and you will see a couple of people with backpacks. They were there to
tag some of the pups, thus enabling them to track them for scientific
research..
