Winifred Baker Chorale performing May 3 in San Rafael

Dominican University of California's Winifred Baker Chorale will present its annual spring performance beginning May 3 at the Church of St. Raphael in San Rafael, starting at 8 p.m.

(San Rafael, CA) Led by conductor Dr. Craig Singleton of San Rafael, Dominican University of California’s Winifred Baker Chorale will present its annual spring performance with separate concerts in different cities beginning May 3.

On Friday night, May 3, DUWBC will perform at the Church of St. Raphael, 1104 Fifth Avenue in San Rafael, starting at 8 p.m.

On Tuesday night, May 7, DUWBC will conclude its spring performance in Petaluma at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 35 Liberty Street. The performance begins at 8 p.m.

General admission is $15, $10 for students and senior citizens (65 & older). Children 18 and under are free. To purchase tickets online, visit www.duwbc.org/tickets. Tickets also will be available at the door.

Singleton, past chair of Dominican’s Department of Music, Dance and Performing Arts, will lead the Winifred Baker Chorale in Te Deum by Anton Bruckner, An Oxford Elegy by Ralph Vaughan Williams and works by Brahms and Dvorak accompanied by Allegra Chapman and Joe Bloom on piano.

The Winifred Baker Chorale is comprised of more than 80 community musicians plus Dominican students and faculty members. Winifred Baker, who founded the chorale in 1958, served on the music faculty at Dominican for nearly 50 years.
