Crews Quickly Contain Brush Fire In Marin County
Marin County, Central Marin, Ross Valley and San Rafael fire departments responded to the scene.
MARIN COUNTY, CA – Fire crews quickly gained control of a brush fire that sparked Tuesday evening in Marin County, briefly threatening structures and prompting evacuation orders.
The blaze broke out in the 400 block of Vista Grande in Greenbrae, according to the California Highway Patrol and Marin County Fire Department. The fire was first reported around 5:50 p.m.
Marin County, Central Marin, Ross Valley and San Rafael fire departments responded to the scene. Within 20 minutes, crews stopped forward progress of the flames, which burned less than 2 acres. Evacuation orders were lifted, according to the Marin County Fire Department.

Drift smoke was visible throughout Greenbrae and neighboring areas, according to the Central Marin Police Authority. Firefighters were expected to remain at the scene throughout the evening to clean up the area.
