Learn how to make a lightweight basket of tule reed, using several different weaves. Basketry expert Charlie Kennard shows you the ropes!
Each student will make a small, twined basket, using rush (Juncus) grown in the Basketry Garden at Marin Art and Garden Center. This small native rush commonly grows in damp meadows and ditches in Marin, and is also available in nurseries.
