Join Marin-based photographer and printmaker Ben Davidson and photo teacher and artist Laurie Reemsnyder for a creative printmaking workshop using botanical material gathered from the garden grounds and Marin's hills and forests.We start with a 20-minute "foraging" walk around the 11-acre garden, then head to the Cottage for a 60 minute printmaking session, using the cyanotype (photo) process if the day is sunny. Caregivers of family members give generously of themselves, but sometimes the needs of their loved ones outpace their time energy and resources, leaving them feeling overwhelmed, fatigued and uncertain where to turn when they need support for themselves.
How can we help the caregivers in our community? How do we know what they need? Where can we go to get detailed answers and specific resources?
For more than 40 years, the Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA) has provided services to family caregivers of adults with physical and cognitive impairments, such as Parkinson's, stroke, Alzheimer's and other types of dementia. Services include assessment, care planning, direct care skills, wellness programs, respite services, and legal/financial consultation vouchers. FCA is a longtine advocate for caregivers in the areas of policy, health and social system development, research, and public awareness on the state, national and international levels.

<ul>The suggested donation: <ul><li>Adults &amp; Children over 12 years old – $12.00</li><li>Children 5-12 years old – $7.00</li><li>Children under 5 years old – Free</li></ul><ul> </ul>Free, pre-Parade entertainment, starts at 9:00 AM &amp; ends at 10:00 AM when the Parade begins. These are “warm-up” acts that get us all into a festive mood. If you arrive early – and you should – you (&amp; especially children) will enjoy many wonderful entertainers."</ul>

Decorate your bikes, scooters, and strollers while donning your favorite red, white, and blue gear - after all, we are the parade!
10:30 - 11:00 AM: Gather at the corner of Evergreen and Melrose
11:00 AM: The Parade starts in Volunteer Park and the route goes up Melrose to Laverne and ends in Stolte Grove.
