Deputies Search For Bank Robbery Suspect In San Rafael: UPDATE
BREAKING: The bank robbery took place at Westamerica Bank on Mitchell Boulevard in San Rafael, according to authorities.

SAN RAFAEL, CA – Deputies are searching for a bank robbery suspect Friday morning in San Rafael.
According to the San Rafael Police Department, police received a silent robbery alarm around 9:39 a.m. from Westamerica Bank on Mitchell Boulevard. After requesting mutual aid assistance from the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived on the scene and confirmed a robbery had occurred and the suspect had fled on foot.

Witnesses stated the suspect presented a demand note, but no weapons were mentioned or seen, according to officials. There were no injuries and the loss is unknown at this time.
The suspect is described as a 25- to 35-year-old black man with short black hair. He was wearing black framed glasses, a white dress shirt with a dark tie, as well as a dark, possibly blue, double-breasted pea coat, dark, possibly brown, dress pants and black dress shoes.
