Concerts Under the Oak: LFX

WHAT: Northgate’s 3nd Annual Summer Concert Series, Concerts Under the Oak, is held in the Oak Plaza next to Kohl’s.  A different regional band is showcased each month along with a different Northgate restaurant featuring a custom menu of items for purchase.  In addition, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse will have one of their signature beers available for $5 a glass for those 21 and over.  At least 25% of the proceeds from the food and beverage sales will be donated to SchoolsRule-Marin, a coalition of the 20 public school foundations who are working to benefit every public school student in Marin County. A limited number of seats will be provided, but do encourage people to bring their own seating, too.

WHEN & WHERE: The FREE concerts are held every 1st and 3rd Friday of each month, June - August, from 6:00-8:00pm.

FUNDRAISING:  SchoolsRule-Marin has two fundamentally important principles: one, is that all children, in all schools deserve the best possible educational opportunities, wherever they may live in our community; the second, is that we have a collective responsibility to look beyond our neighborhoods and individual school districts to insure that all schools have the resources they need to fully meet the needs of their students.
